a day at the races.

This past Saturday afternoon I went to the horse races with a few friends from work. It was so nice to leave the busy city and to be surrounded by mountains and fresh(er) air. I've never been much for gambling, as I can think of more fun ways to lose my money, so I spent most of the day making 50 cent and dollar bets. I attempted to play the odds, but it never really worked out in my favor and I didn't win a single race. Next time I'm just going to bet on the prettiest horse.

A few photos from the day:

Photobucket
the foreigner's section. kind of like having box seats at a sporting event in america. (also the flags of my two favorite countries in the world.)

Photobucket
reading stats to determine which horses to bet on.

Photobucket
i tried to take a photo as the horses were leaving the gate, but right when the horn blew eva started telling me about her new hair conditioner and i missed my chance. i had to wait until they came back around to get the shot.

Photobucket
me and eva. we spent the majority of the day taking pictures of ourselves.

Another wonderful weekend in Korea!
